American Express’ Programs for Restaurateurs and Partnerships with the Restaurant Industry
For over 35 years, American Express has worked closely with restaurants across the country to help them meet the challenges of an increasingly competitive marketplace. As a result of an ongoing dialogue with its restaurant partners, American Express has invested in a variety of programs and initiatives that support its restaurant merchants.
For more than twenty years, as a stakeholder in the restaurant industry American Express has offered the professionals who shape the world of hospitality a unique educational and networking opportunity at the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen.
American Express proudly continues to host a series of informative seminars featuring restaurant trailblazers and influencers at Aspen’s historic Hotel Jerome. These panels will provide attendees with insights on the latest trends and best practices to advance their business.
In addition, American Express is pleased to host Trade-only networking events — opportunities for attendees to mingle with fellow executives and exchange views “off the record” with peers. To learn more and to register, visit foodandwine.com/classic.
The National Restaurant Association and American Express created the Restaurant Neighbor Award in 1998 to honor restaurant and foodservice operators for their commitment to community service. This program annually recognizes the positive impact restaurants have on their local neighborhoods and motivates restaurateurs to continue their community efforts. Winners in three categories (small, mid-size and large businesses) and a special humanitarian award each receive $5,000 to continue their charitable works. Applications for 2013 award are due in January. To learn more and apply, visit www.restaurant.org.
